Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best recipes. This recipe for Torrential Fried Green Tomatoes uses basic ingredients but the results are insanely good. This easy fried tomatoes recipe starts by coating slices of tomato in egg and a mixture of cornmeal and bread crumbs. The tomatoes are then fried until the coating is crunchy and crispy. These fried green tomatoes are called torrential because tomatoes in the South often have to be picked before their prime during summers when rainfall is heavy.
