Swiss Cheese and Tomato Pie
Who doesn't love a good heirloom tomato? If you're not already a tomato lover, this Swiss Cheese and Tomato Pie will convert you. The crust of this pie is made from buttermilk biscuit dough that has been sprinkled with cornmeal for added crunch and texture. To make this Southern tomato pie recipe, layer thick slices of heirloom tomatoes onto the crust. Combine the shredded Swiss cheese with mayo and place dollops of this mixture on top of the tomatoes. Finally, fold the edges of the dough to form a crust edge around the pie. Bake this delicious creation on a pizza stone or baking sheet. This tomato pie recipe will knock your socks off!
