Skillet Fried Cabbage is a great budget-friendly recipe to make for dinner or as an easy side dish. To make this simple but flavorful recipe for cabbage and bacon, onion and cabbage are cooked in bacon grease. The cabbage mixture then continues to cook in water until it is tender. After the cabbage is cooked, it is tossed with crumbled bacon. This fried cabbage recipe makes for a quick and filling weeknight meal, but it would also make a great accompaniment to your Sunday night dinner. Bacon makes everything more delicious and this recipe proves just that!

Oh yum! This Skillet Fried Cabbage is the same way my Grandfather taught me how to make it! Some members of our family thought it was a bad healthy way to cook in bacon fat, but the taste is to die for.. Anything cooked in bacon is good, right? I alway skip the onions and added onion powder to the dish after it was cooked. Some folks have a hard time digesting onions, so we leave it out. Thank you for sharing another great recipe!

My little Cajun mother-in-law taught me to cook cabbage this way when I married my husband in '68. We cabbage often with pork chops corn bread. Nothing like cooking Southern!

Been looking for a good receipe for this dish for years finaly found it thank you.
