If you're looking for a great recipe for a fish fry, Lightened-Up Beer Battered Fish is the recipe for you. This easy recipe can be used to fry vegetables, chicken, or anything your heart desires. The light batter is made of a combination of flour, salt, pepper, and beer. The secret to this light beer batter recipe is rice flour. Once the fish has been dredged in the batter, coat the filet in rice flour. The rice flour creates a thin and crispy coating on the fish after it has been fried in hot oil. This easy recipe is perfect for your summer fish fry or party because everyone will love the light and crispy coating on this fried fish.

These looks super good. They don't look "lighter" at all, which is fine. It's nice to know there are some healthier versions of my favorite foods.
