Spiced Russian Tea is the perfect warm and elegant beverage to add to your tea party menu. Black tea is steeped in boiling water before being combined with a simple syrup made from water, sugar, cinnamon, clove, orange juice, and lemon juice. The flavors combine to make a sweet and spicy citrus tea. This classic Southern tea recipe would be a wonderful beverage to serve at either a bridal shower or a baby shower, but it is also easy enough to make for any afternoon tea.

This brings back memories. My mother used to make something similar. However, instead of sugar, my mother would add honey. On occasion, especially after skiing, she would add a bit of rum.
