Pumpkin Pie Eggnog
"This is a traditional eggnog recipe, but with the yummy, warming taste of fall mixed in. Instead of topping each glass with nutmeg, crumble a cinnamon graham cracker over the top for extra flavor."
- 5 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup good quality Bourbon
- 1/4 cup spiced rum
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon graham cracker, crushed (optional)
Place the egg yolks and sugar in a blender. Process until combined, about 30 seconds to one minute.
Add the remaining ingredients. Replace the lid and process until smooth.
Pour over ice. Garnish with crushed graham cracker if desired. Store the leftover eggnog in the refrigerator.
