Texas Sheet Cake Trifle combines two classic Southern desserts, Texas sheet cake and punch bowl cake, into one delicious treat. This dessert does take time to prepare, but the finished result is more than worth it. Homemade chocolate cake is crumbled and layered with chocolate fluff and cooked chocolate pecan icing. Top the assembled trifle with a few Maraschino cherries for a dessert that looks as good as it tastes! If you are a chocolate dessert lover, then you won't want to miss this incredible dessert. This dessert would be great to share at a party, potluck, or church supper!

I love this idea. I love the inherent contradiction. Is it flat like a sheet? No, it's stacked like a trifle. Fascinating!

Oh my word! I started salivating the instant I saw the photo. So we made it for dessert tonight and it was FABULOUS! Maraschino cherries are the price of gold in South Africa so we left them out but it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! As a self confessed chocoholic let me say that this Texac Sheet Cake Trifle is very VERY GOOD!
