I have been making this Old-Fashioned Vanilla Buttercream Frosting for years now. I love this recipe and it works out every time. The trick is to use cold butter and you'll have to beat it like she said to get a great piping frosting. I never add salt to combat the sweetness, I add a few drops of lemon juice and it works great, but doesn't have the lemon flavor. You can also use any flavor if you don't want vanilla, there are so many flavors out there today. Thank you for sharing this free recipe.

I've been looking for a great simple buttercream recipe. Can't wait to try this out!
