"I have been making this smoked sausage casserole recipe for about 20 years. It was one of the first recipes I mastered after getting married. It is a family favorite and I am really excited to share it with y’all today. Be sure to make this one for your family on a weeknight. Yep, it is easy enough that you can whip it up in about 30 minutes. Mix up your weeknight meal routine with this great recipe."

Ingredients

  • 1 package Aidells® Chicken & Apple (Gluten-Free, No Nitrites, No Added Hormones)
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup plus one tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can light red kidney beans (drained)
  1. Add the sliced chicken and apple sausage to a pan over medium heat. Add carrots and onions. Cook until carrots are tender and sausage is brown.

  2. Add flour and stir for 20 – 30 seconds. Add milk and keep stirring until mixture begins to boil.

  3. Add sage and Worcestershire sauce.

  4. Add beans and cook until heated through.
