This just might be the easiest homemade butter recipe you'll ever find. For starters, you don't need to milk forty cows just to extract enough cream to churn. All you need is heavy whipping cream (from the grocery store) and an electric mixer with a whisk attachment. Truly, the mixer does all of the work, and, within five minutes, you go from whipped cream to a chunk of butter that leaves some useful buttermilk behind. Of course, you'll have to shape the butter yourself, but if the pioneers can do it, so can you!

It is worth a try once. But it just may be the most expensive butter I ever had. Although getting the buttermilk too is a bonus.
