Known by a handful of names, these Southern Pecan Butterballs prove the point that more complicated recipes are not always better. So whatever you call them, these simple, seven-ingredient cookies are buttery, light, and coated in layers of powdered sugar. They are given a crunch by the chopped pecans within. These cookies are perfect for teatime or a coffee break, or for keeping on hand in case an unexpected guest comes by. Anyone can make these and they’re year-round favorites.
