Date and Nut Chews are traditional and easy Christmas cookies that you can plan on making for years to come. Dates and pecans or walnuts are tossed together with a simple batter made from flour, sugar, baking powder, and eggs. The cookie batter bakes for half an hour before being dusted with powdered sugar and cut into small squares.
