I don't know how old your mother was, but my mom was born in 1912 and in the 30's was when she made her first thanksgiving dinner . They didn't have a bag of Perpperidge Farm Seasoned bread crumbs. She used poultry seasoning, salt and black pepper, biscuits and cornbread. The rest was diced onions, diced celery, butter, hot juice from the turkey if you have it or use the homemade chicken broth that she made for recipes that called for it. Now you can't call it Old Fashioned Stuffing. Thanks you, have a great weekend.
