The Matchbox Grilling Spices from Backyard Safari Co. are the ultimate flavoring tools. These spice blends come in different varieties depending on the meat you are seasoning and the flavor profile you are looking to replicate. The delicious spices come in adorable packaging meant to look like matchboxes.

I had the opportunity to try three of their Grilling Spices: Steak and Burger Rub, Chicken Rub, and Seafood Rub. Each has a unique flavor profile that makes for a tasty bite. All the spices come with a helpful recipe list to get you started on the grill. 

My favorite of the three rubs was the Chicken Rub, but I am little biased since I eat chicken almost daily. It has a perfect blend of lemon zest and garlic which also makes it versatile. This flavoring is perfect for adding to chicken you want to use in a salad or serve on its own. The rub can also be used to season vegetables or roasted potatoes! The Seafood Rub is made with rosemary, lemon zest, dill, and a few common Italian spices. This gives it a little more depth and it pairs excellently with fish and seafood. I really liked the Steak and Burger Rub, but I generally don't add anything except salt and pepper to these items. However, I love the idea of using it in a meatloaf.

The packaging of these spices is fantastic. They really do look like matchboxes and everything you need to know is right on the box. They also come with a handy resealable bag in case you don't use all the rub up in one night. These delicious spices are wonderful to keep in the house or give to your favorite grilling enthusiast.
