Tracey Harrelson is a first grade teacher by day and kitchen adventurer by night (and weekend!). She considers the kitchen her playground and is trying new recipes and dishes all the time, rarely leaving a recipe alone.  

Tracey loves the recipe quest … that quest for great ingredient combinations, for unexpected flavors, for the best version of a dish or baked good, and especially for that utterance of “oh my goodness” or “yum” from those for whom she cooks. She loves to know that she’s brought the simple pleasure of good food to those she cares about.  

The Kitchen is My Playground blog, founded in 2011, is where Tracey shares the results of her kitchen tinkerings and adventures. Her cooking style is eclectic, ranging from easy to complex, scratch-made to convenience-food-based, and everything in between.  She strives to share proven, family taste-tested and critiqued recipes geared toward the home cook. Her bottom line? Quite simply, if it tastes good then share it!
