This cornbread was a bit too crumbly for my liking, but the flavor was fantastic! Would serve this alongside any dinner main dish!

This cornbread was on the dry side, but flavor-wise it was perfect. I would serve it with whipped butter or honey next time.

Very simple and delicious. The perfect accompaniment to a spicy Southern dish. YUM!

All this time, I was under the impression that the sweet corn bread was the southern type - who knew?! This corn bread is very different from what I'm used to, but equally as tasty. I love that it has so much full corn flavor and isn't overwhelmed with sweetness. The crumbly texture has a certain appeal as well, and with a pat of butter melted on top - c'est parfait!

Half of this recipe's appeal is its smell straight out of the oven. At first I thought it was Irish soda bread based on the aroma. I can completely taste the cornmeal - very savory. Would make a worthy accompaniment to any meal.

I love how a recipe this easy is also incredibly delicious! I could eat this cornbread every night. The texture was perfect!

This was unlike other cornbread recipes I've made - I'm used to sweeter versions. This would be great with butter, since it's a little bit more dry and crumbly than most people are used to. If you like to try new things and have authentic dishes, this is a great recipe to try.

So yummy! Just the right amount of sweetness and crumbly texture. Give me some butter to slather all over it and I'm good to go
