It's always a good idea to have a simple recipe in your back pocket for those times when a craving hits. Simply take out your baking dish, dump in the ingredients, and bake it. You don't even need to stir anything in this recipe, so that's one less dirty spoon to wash. Serve a warm scoop of this peach cobbler topped with a scoop of cool vanilla ice cream. This recipe was adapted from The Slow Roasted Italian's recipe for Perfect Peach Cobbler Dump Cake
Ingredients
- 2 (16-ounce) cans yellow peaches in heavy syrup
- 1 (18-1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
Instructions

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

Place peaches and their juices in the baking dish.

Cover with the dry cake mix, press down.

Cut the butter into thin slices and place on top of cake mix.

Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar on top.

Bake for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

I think I'll try cutting this recipe in half. It should be pretty easy since there are two cans of peaches in this dessert.

I'm not a huge fan of peach desserts, but I thought this was pretty good. The peaches had good texture and were full of flavor.

The flavor of this recipe is quite good - I love peaches, and they were nice and moist; however, it's important to watch the cooking time so that the topping doesn't get dried out and hard.

The topping on this dump cake was way too sweet for me, but I liked the peach filling.
