"It doesn't get more Southern than blackberry cobbler. These individual cobblers are a great way to dress of an old favorite and they are fun to serve at a dinner party."

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • Cool Whip (optional)

Instructions

  1. Arrange 6 ramekins on a cookie sheet and add 1 tablespoon of butter to each ramekin.

  2. Set oven to 350 degrees F and place the cookie sheet in the oven as it warms to melt butter. Once melted, remove from oven.

  3. While the butter is melting, mix the sugar, flour, and milk in a large bowl until there are no lumps.

  4. Place 1/3 cup blackberries in each ramekin on top of melted butter.

  5. Evenly distribute the batter over the blackberries.

  6. Bake for 35 minutes or until the tops are golden.

  7. Cool for 15 minutes before handling.

  8. Top with a dollop of Cool Whip (optional).
