One of my favorite meals was a bean and ham hocks that my mom used to make when I was young. I have tried to make it several times since she passed. But I could never get the same flavor, so I was always disappointed. This recipe sound very good and I plan on giving it a try. One this I never did was to cook everything other than the beans for a little while. Hope this will remind me of my years growing up.
